Erin volunteers celebrate local environmentalism with cleanup
ERIN – Erin’s Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee hosted an Earth Day-themed event on April 27 at Centre 2000, celebrating and raising awareness about local environmentalism. Volunteers cleaned parks, roads and ditches in and around town. Volunteers with the Erin Optimists cooked up a barbecue following the clean-up. Dozens of booths presenting environmentally-themed information were in Centre 2000, relaying details about garden clubs, solar panels, turtles, organic farming and electric vehicles.
