Erin resident wins $500,000 in Lotto Max prizes

TORONTO – Jacquelynn Onilla of Erin can realize her dreams after winning $500,000 in the June 8, Lotto Max draw. Onilla shared a $1 million maxmillions prize with another ticket.

Onilla, a 33-year-old administrative assistant, said she’s not a regular lottery player and only played LOTTO MAX because the jackpot was high.

“I was at my mom’s when I saw the OLG email – my step-dad said it must be spam,” she shared while at the OLG prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “Then I logged into my account and saw I won big!”

The mother of one said she plans to buy a house, save for her wedding, help her mom, and put the rest away for her son.

“Everyone’s life has changed with this win – it’s a peace of mind, especially after the pandemic. I can spend time with my son and fiancé and not worry!” she concluded.

OLG is currently booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto only for those claims that require a face-to-face interview.

Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options. Prize claims up to $49,999.90 should continue to be submitted by mail.

The winning ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
