Erin extends municipal building closures indefinitely

ERIN – The Town of Erin has extended the closure of municipal buildings “until further notice.”

Officials announced the move to indefinite closures in a May 29 press release.

The town originally closed municipal facilities – including town hall and all recreational buildings – on March 17.

On March 30 the town extended the closures until May 31.

Officials are “ensuring the safety of residents and staff remain a top priority,” states the May 29 release.

“Town staff are continuing to work to provide residents with service excellence.”

The town reopening parks and sports fields on May 25, but playgrounds and public washrooms remain closed.

Town staff will continue to assist residents through email (communications@erin.ca) or via telephone (519-855-4407).

Payments can be paid through financial institutions, by sending an e-transfer to epayments@erin.ca, or by calling 519-855-4407 EXT. 226.

Burn permits and dog tags can be obtained online.

Officials say residents can follow the latest news on the town website.
