Employee faces fraud charge
MOUNT FOREST - A local man has been charged with defrauding a local business of thousands of dollars.
On Nov. 25, Wellington County OPP received a call from loss prevention staff at a local business.
“Police were advised that the business is located on Main Street in [Mount Forest] and the suspect is an employee,” police stated in a press release.
Eric Johnston, 25, of Wellington North, was charged with fraud over $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code.
He is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 31.
