Elora Skatepark opens
Fun park - Cooper Billings, Soyer Tschanz, and Macheo Carrie get set to try out a ramp at the grand opening of the Elora Skatepark on Oct. 5. Fun park - Cooper Billings, Soyer Tschanz, and Macheo Carrie get set to try out a ramp at the grand opening of the Elora Skatepark on Oct. 5. About 40 children of all ages, plus several adults, tried out the $430,000 facility at the Elora Community Centre.

Time to ride - Following an official ribbon cutting, a large group of excited youths raced to try out the new Elora Skatepark.

“Many thanks to the donors and sponsors for their help in getting it established in the community,” stated Staci Barron, founder of the CW Skatepark Association.

Another donation - Colin Barron of the Centre Wellington Optimists Club donated a further $2,400 toward the Elora Skatepark at the grand opening on Oct. 5. Accepting the cheque was Staci Barron, founder of the CW Skatepark Association.
