GUELPH – The Elora Singers are performing a concert at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph on Nov 15 beginning at 4pm.

They’ll be singing Rachmaninoff’s Vespers.

Composed in 1915, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil (Vespers) is a cornerstone of Orthodox sacred music.

Drawing on ancient chant traditions, Rachmaninoff weaves together profound spirituality, rich harmonies, and luminous melodies to create music of remarkable depth and beauty, officials state in a press release.

From the delicate interplay of voices to the famous, resonant bass lines that anchor its sonorous textures, every moment invites deep listening and reflection, the release continues.

Under the direction of artistic director Mark Vuorinen, The Elora Singers bring their signature warmth, clarity, and expressive artistry to this remarkable work, officials state.

Performed in the magnificent setting of Guelph’s Basilica of Our Lady, the music’s soaring harmonies and profound stillness will fill the space with a sound that is both intimate and transcendent, organizers say.

Join The Elora Singers for an unforgettable musical experience that offers a moment of reflection, connection, and quiet wonder, officials invite.

Tickets are $52 for adults; $20 for students and $10 for children. For more information or to purchase tickets visit elorasingers.ca.
