WELLINGTON COUNTY - The Elora Singers, under the direction of artistic director Mark Vuorinen, are inviting people to their 2026-27 concert season — a year of  choral artistry, tradition and inspiring music.

The 2026-27 season features choral masterworks such as Bach’s St. John Passion and Rachmaninoff’s Vespers, beloved holiday favorites including Christmas carols and Handel’s Messiah, and programs that highlight the versatility of the ensemble alongside acclaimed guest artists. 

Tickets for the 2026-27 season are available now.

The Elora Singers with the Barrel Boys 
Saturday, October 3, 7:30pm, St. Matthew’s Centre, Kitchener

The Elora Singers band together with the Barrel Boys for a night of bluegrass and gospel music. 

Featuring Jake Runestad’s Mountain Songs, the concert promises to bring vocal harmonies and lively instrumental energy.

Rachmaninoff: Vespers
Sunday, November 15 at 4pm, Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, Guelph

Rachmaninoff’s Vespers (1915) is a famous piece of Orthodox sacred music. 

Drawing on ancient chant tradition, Vespers blends spirituality with lush harmonies, showcasing remarkable choral depth, including the bass-lines that anchor the piece as a musical work. 

The choir’s voices reverberate through the Basilica of Our Lady with its spacious acoustics.

Messiah with London Symphonia 
Sunday, December 6, 4pm, St. Joseph’s Parish, Fergus

The Elora Singers present Handel’s Messiah joined by London Symphonia. 

Select singers from the choir are set to engage in solos during the proceedings. 

Despite being nearly three centuries old, Handel’s Messiah, with its sublime arias and dancing choruses, remains a timeless piece of music.

Festival of Carols Tuesday, December 15, 5pm and 8pm
Wednesday, December 16, 2:30 pm, 5pm and 8pm, St. John’s Anglican Church, Elora

The Elora Singers’ Festival of Carols celebrates the warmth of the Christmas season through a beloved musical tradition.

Making old carols new with novel arrangements and enabling opportunities for audience participation, this program invites holiday-goers to participate in the magic of the season through song.

Soup and Song by Request 
Saturday, January 30, 2:30pm, soup lunch at 12:30pm, St. John’s Anglican Church, Elora

Soup and Song by Request brings audience and artists together in an unusually interactive concert experience. Audiences posit repertoire ideas and the Singers pick their favorites in an interactive dynamic.

Bach’s St. John Passion
Sunday, March 7 4pm, Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, Guelph

In the reverberant acoustics of the Basilica of Our Lady in Guelph, the Elora Singers present Bach’s St. John Passion

Rich in emotion and humanity, St. John Passion explores enduring themes of pain, sympathy, and hope, offering an altogether moving experience.

The Elora Singers’ Salon 
Saturday, April 17, 7:30pm, venue TBA

The Elora Singers welcome spring with a concert featuring soloists from the choir in a selection of art song and choral works. 

The program will honour the spiritual renewal offered by spring with music of beauty and reflection.
