Elora Sculpture Project launches season

The Elora Sculpture Project (ESP) is offering two initiatives to mark the opening of its annual outdoor exhibition.

In cooperation with Centre Wellington and the Fergus BIA, the ESP will present three sculptures along the River Walk in Fergus. This collection will be a small retrospective from past years.

For the first time the ESP is offering a $500 Student Bursary award to a post secondary student enrolled in a fine arts, design, or craft program.

Presented by Noecker Travel Ltd and the TD Bank Group, the award is going to Fiona Legg of Barrie, Ontario.  Her winning entry Single Mother #2 will be among the thirteen sculptures installed in downtown Elora.

On May 15 the public is invited to join the project organizers and many of the participating artists for the annual Artist Walk.  The sculptors will introduce their works during a walking tour of the installations.  The walk will begin at 2pm from the Elora Brewing Company on Geddes Street in Elora. The walk is free and open to everyone.

The Elora Sculpture Project is a volunteer run initiative operating in cooperation with the Township of Centre Wellington, supported by the Elora BIA.
