Elora Mill showcases local artists jointly with Elora Centre For The Arts

ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts and the Elora Mill Hotel and Spa have partnered to present a collection of original artwork by local area artists within the walls of the mill.

“We wanted to ensure we reflected the work of our fantastic local artistic community inside our space,” said Geoffrey Wild, general manager of the Elora Mill.

“We approached the Elora Centre for the Arts to help with this project because they are connected to artists and understand our design vision.”

To date there are 33 pieces of original artwork and photography installed throughout the Mill property, with more to come.

The current installation includes main reception, upper main dining room, all levels of the spa and the Granary wedding reception venue.

Featured artists include work by Guelph artist Chris Ahlers, Elora artist Rachel Albano, Elora photographer Sophie Hogan and Guelph artist Laurie Skantzos who has her studio at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

“We are so delighted and proud to partner with the Elora Mill and showcase the work of such talented artists,” said Sheila Koop, co-chair of the Elora Centre for the Arts.

“It opens up the audience for these artists, and visiting guests at the Mill will be exposed to some of our very best local talent.”

All art on display at the Elora Mill is available for purchase.
