Elora karate students did well at recent tournament

Students from the Elora Gorge Karate Dojo took part in the Elmira’s fourth annual  Karate Shiai (tournament) on Nov. 13.

Winners from the Elora dojo were: Jr. Kids (7-9 yrs) Green, Blue & Brown Belt - Natalia Van Esch 1st Kata & 1st Kumite, Adrian Stockford 2nd Kata & 2nd Kumite; Senior Kids (10-12 yrs) Green Belt - Kirin LeGrow  2nd  Kata.

Senior Kids (10-12 yrs) Orange and Green Belt - MacKenzie Nelson 1st Kata & 1st Kumite, Blaire Bauman 3rd Kata & 2nd Kumite. Senior Kids (10-12 yrs) Blue & Brown Belt - Francesca Van Esch 1st Kata.

Senior Kids Kobudo (10-12 yrs) Green, Blue & Brown Belt – Francesca Van Esch 1st; Teen (13-15 yrs) White, Yellow & Orange Belt – Avery Moroney 1st Kata & 1st Kumite; Teen (13-15 yrs) Green, Blue & Brown Belts - Michael Corbett  2nd Kata & 2nd Kumite; Adult (16+) White, Yellow & Orange Belt - Colleen McNulty 1st Kata; Adult (16+) Green, Blue & Brown Belt - Nathan Beer 3rd Kata, Astrid Van Esch 2nd Womens Kumite, Brad Bauman 2nd Mens Kumite.
