Ellis, Larry of Elora, Ontario died Monday, January 7, 2013 after a short fight with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Born in Toronto, Ontario, June 1, 1941 to Frederick and Pearl Ellis, Larry was a brilliant teacher, craftsman and mechanic, who consistently gained his greatest personal satisfaction through the happiness of the people he helped. There was nothing that Larry could not repair or build. A consummate perfectionist, Larry only accepted one way of doing anything: the right way, and was well known for saying, “anything worth doing is worth doing right”. Larry is survived by his wife, Carole, his daughter, Paige, and his son, Dean; his daughter-law Judy, his grandchildren, Aidan, Jordan, Renee, Ashley, Andrew, Kevin & Michael; his great-granddaughters, Zoe & Dalilah; his sister, Dawn; mother-in-law, Helen; brothers-in-law, Al, Marty, Johnny and Wally; sisters-in-law, Sharon, Darlene, Monica and Dorothy; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Christian, Connor, Dave, Tracey, Chris, Krista, Jennifer, Ryan, Veronica, Kelly, Holly, Nathan, Lisa, Steven, Justine, William, Alisson, Liz, Paul, Jessica, Teddy and Sherry; and great nieces and nephews, Nicole, Christopher, Jocelyne, Chloe, Owen, Evan, Amber, Kaleb, Tyler, Amanda, Kyla, David, Patricia, Tom, T.J., Nicholas & Samantha. There will be a “Celebration of Larry’s Life” on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 1-5pm at the Wellington County Museum. (Attire – casual –that was Larry’s style).
