Ellis Chapel celebrates 149 years on Aug. 15
On Aug. 15, a celebration of the 149th anniversary of the founding of Ellis Chapel takes place in the chapel. The doors of the chapel opened in 1861.
The service begins at 2:30pm with a congregational hymn sing, followed by worship led by Rev. Marty Molegraaf, Duff’s Presbyterian Church.
The Island Singers, from Manitoulin Island, will provide the music.
Refreshments will be served on the chapel garden immediately following the service. Everyone is welcome.
Located on Ellis Road in Puslinch Township, the Chapel is directly behind the north service centre on westbound 401 and is accessible from Townline Road or County Roads 34 or 32.
