Electric Vinyl Orchestra returns to Elora Legion

ELORA – A sure sign of spring in the Centre Wellington area is the return of Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra to the Elora Legion.

For the fifth time, the Guelph band returns to Elora for one performance at the Elora Legion on May 13.

The four-piece group comprised of Stu Peterson, Jim Duffield, Kerry Mullen, and Matty Cooper continues to perform shows across Southwestern Ontario, playing regularly at Revival in Orangeville, Shaun and Ed Brewing Company, and Manhattan’s Bistro and Music Club, and recently at Elora’s Riverfest and Guelph’s Hillside festival.

Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra is a dance-hall band from Guelph playing 1930s swing, 1940s rockabilly, 1950s rhythm and blues, and 1960s rock ‘n roll.

As they head into the show at the Elora Legion, virtuoso horn player, Jim Duffield reflects, “This is one of our favorite places to perform! A great crowd of fans, lots of room for dancing, and some traveling for over an hour to enjoy this excellent facility!”

Doors open on May 13 at the  Elora Legion, 110 Metcalfe St. at 7:30pm with the show starting at 8pm.

Tickets are $20 (ticketscene.ca).  More details at eclecticvo.com or Kcm Shows and Events on Facebook.
