Egg procurement proposal leaves council puzzled
A request left Wellington North councillors to decide which comes first - the policy or the egg.
Clerk Lori Heinbuch stated the Egg Farmers of Ontario are asking municipalities to pass a resolution that the current procurement practice focus on shopping locally.
“The Township of Wellington North does not procure any eggs,” Heinbuch said.
“I guess if we don’t procure them, it’s not really applicable,” said councillor Dan Yake.
The proposal was put on the backburner as information.
