Eden Mills hosts book sale

EDEN MILLS – The 13th annual Eden Mills Book Sale is back after a year’s hiatus.

The book sale will take place this Saturday, Sept. 25 from 9am to 1pm at the Eden Mills Community Hall, 104 York Street, on the island in the Eramosa River in downtown of Eden Mills.

Books have been donated by the hundreds and thousands. There are always great finds for the collector, and lots of books you’ve had on your reading list for years, both fiction and non-fiction, children’s or adult, coffee-table and bedside.

The prices make it a bargain shopping spree. Prices run as one book for $3, two books for $5, six books for $10 and nine books for $15. People can pay by cash at the sale, or online at www.edenmills.ca/Donate-Books.

Books can also be donated. People looking to donate books can drop them off at the community hall between 4 and 8pm on Friday, Sept. 24.

Organizers are asking books donated have no tears or mold.

All the funds raised will go towards the Eden Mills Community Club, which operates the hall and is the heart of village life. The 100-year-old hall has been newly retrofitted to be the most carbon neutral heritage building of its type in Canada.

Provincial COVID-19 protocols will be in place.
