ECT presents the classic ‘Jane Eyre’

ELORA – Elora Community Theatre (ECT) is thrilled to once again be performing on the Fergus Grand Theatre stage after being closed by the pandemic since February 2020.

This holiday season join ECT as they perform Jane Eyre. The play is based on the classic novel by Charlotte Bronte.

After a bleak childhood, orphan Jane Eyre goes out into the world to become a governess. As she lives happily in her new position at Thornfield Hall taking care of the French child Adele, she meets the cold and abrupt master of the house, Mr. Edward Rochester.

Jane and her employer grow close in friendship, and she soon finds herself falling in love with him. Happiness seems to have found Jane at last, but could Mr. Rochester’s terrible secret destroy it forever?

The performances will take place Dec. 10 to 12 and Dec. 17 to 19. Friday shows begin at 8pm, Saturday shows run at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday shows begin at 2pm.

Tickets are $25 and available at the Fergus Grand Theatre Box office by calling 519-787-1981 or online at fergusgrandtheatre.ca.
