East Wellington FHT goes virtual
EAST WELLINGTON – The East Wellington Family Health Team, with clinics in Erin and Rockwood, is not seeing patients in person, but rather is arranging virtual appointments for patients who need to see a doctor. This is in response to the COVID-19 emergency and efforts to keep staff and patients from potential exposure to the virus.
Patients can book appointments by phone or online and those will be triaged for the most appropriate mode of virtual care. Doctors will attend to their patients by phone, email or video call. Video visits will require use of a smartphone or computer with a camera and internet connection.
The family health team is experiencing staffing shortages so there may be delays.
