PALMERSTON – Founder and presenter of DROM Val Shah, led Norwell District Secondary School teachers and students in a half-hour DROM exercise on June 7 as a part of Norwell’s RedFest event. DROM is billed as a combination of drumming (DR) and meditation (OM). The students pledged funds toward the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation MRI+ Campaign. There was a second DROM event in the evening for the community as well, to also bring in funds for the campaign.

A student band performed before the DROM demonstration. The event also included food trucks outside and face painting in the front entrance of the school. Photos by Nicole Beswitherick
