Driver injured in May 19 collision dies in hospital
ERIN – The driver of a car that collided with a tractor trailer here 10 days ago has died in hospital.
On May 19 at about 2:45pm, emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Wellington Road 124.
Wellington County officials say the driver of the car was extricated and transported by ambulance to hospital. The truck driver was not injured.
On May 29 the driver of the car, John Benjamin, 84, of Mississauga, was pronounced dead in hospital by attending physicians.
Police are asking anyone that may have witnessed the collision or has dash cam video equipped in their vehicles to call 1-888-310-1122.
