Driver airlifted to hospital after serious two-vehicle crash

CENTRE WELLINGTON – A portion of Highway 6 south of Fergus was closed on Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash left one driver seriously injured.

Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the scene on Highway 6 on Aug. 10 at about 8am after an SUV and pickup truck collided.

“A 19-year-old driver was transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to a trauma centre with serious injuries,” police stated in a press release.

“The driver of the SUV was not injured.”
