Drayton water tower tank elevation set for June 30

DRAYTON – The new Drayton water tower is moving closer to completion with painting of the tank utilizing the colour scheme of the Township of Mapleton logo.

Township officials have announced the tank will be lifted into place, subject to weather conditions, on June 30.

The public is invited to watch the tank elevation at 29 Drayton Industrial Drive.

The lift is expected to take around four hours, between 7:30am and 11:30am.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided around 10am, but spectators are welcome anytime during the lift.

Note: This story has been updated to reflect a change in the date of the lift due to forecast inclement weather.
