Drayton player sets mark for blocks in OCAA volleyball

]Fanshawe College student Stephanie Bignell of Drayton recently became the all-time blocks leader in Ontario College Athletic Assocation (OCAA)women’s volleyball.
The OCAA website reports Bignell passed Mandi Doris’ all-time mark of 217 with her first block in a Jan. 28 game against Sheridan College. She ended the game with seven blocks to raise the new record to 224.
Doris’ mark was also passed by Hannah Campbell of Midland, who sat as of Jan. 28 at 220 blocks, just four behind Bignell.
Bignell, a fifth year-student, has two more matches remaining on the schedule than Campbell.
