Drayton Festival Theatre announces three productions coming this season
DRAYTON – The Drayton Festival Theatre has announced this season’s line up featuring three productions.
Nashville Music City
From June 10 to June 27 Nashville Music City will take the stage at the Drayton Festival Theatre.
Officials say the production celebrates songs and stars that made Nashville the heart of country music. Featuring hits from Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, The Chicks, Taylor Swift and more.
Sister Act
From July 2 to July 26 Sister Act will take the stage at the Drayton Festival Theatre.
Based on the hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg, Sister Act follows disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, who hides in a convent after witnessing a crime.
Struggling to fit in, she transforms the choir with her energy and voice – helping the sisters find their harmony while rediscovering herself.
Filled with gospel-inspired music, dazzling dance and heart, the feel-good musical will have you jumping for joy, officials say.
Sexy Laundry
Running from Aug. 12 to 30 the production follows a couple, who, after 25 years of marriage, Alice (the wife) books a swanky hotel getaway to reignite the spark with her reluctant husband, Henry.
Will passion return, or will tensions rise before the romance does?
