Drayton Entertainment’s August lineup includes raunchy comedy, Neil Simon classic
DRAYTON – Drayton Entertainment is offering two comedies this month, one in Drayton and the other in St. Jacobs.
Sexy Laundry
After 25 years of marriage, time, kids, stress – and gravity – have all taken their toll on Alice and Henry’s relationship. Worried about their future, Alice decides to take charge of the situation by arming herself with a copy of Sex for Dummies and booking a swanky hotel room for a romantic getaway … all in the hope of rekindling some much-needed passion.
With a reluctant Henry in tow, will Alice manage to jump-start their stale love life with leather and lace … or will the gloves come off before their clothes do? Find out in this contemporary Canadian comedy.
Sexy Laundry will be playing at the Drayton Festival Theatre from Aug. 12 to 30. Recommended for ages 13 and up, tickets are $62 for adults and $38 for youth under 20.

From beloved American playwright Neil Simon comes the comic event of the season, starring the most memorable pair of mismatched roommates you’ll ever meet.
When neat freak news writer Felix Ungar is thrown out by his soon-to-be ex-wife, he reluctantly finds refuge in the sloppy apartment of his long-time friend Oscar Madison, a scruffy sportswriter and recent divorcé. Hilarity ensues as Oscar tries to live with an uptight, neurotic perfectionist and Felix struggles to make himself comfortable in such slovenly surroundings.
With its combination of comic one-liners and humorous characters, this award-winning comedy should reliably provide laughs from start to finish, officials say.
