Drama classes coming to Fergus Grand Theatre
Take 2 Drama will be offering six weeks of drama classes at the Fergus Grand Theatre beginning Jan. 13.
Four classes will be offered: 8 to 11 years, 12 to 15 years, 16 and over, and a special class for adults. Classes include vocal and movement exercises, improvisation, music and theatre history. No previous experience is necessary.
“This is exciting News for the performing arts in Centre Wellington” said Eric Goudie, Fergus Grand Theatre coordinator.
“I believe that offering opportunities in arts education for people of all ages is an important part of the contribution a venue such as ours makes to the community.”
“That is what we are here for,” adds Deardra Leslie, director of Take 2 Drama. “It has been a privilege to work with the Fergus Grand Theatre to provide these drama classes.”
The cost to register for all classes is $80 per person and space is limited. Participants can register at any time by calling 519-787-1981 or online at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca. There will be two registration days at the theatre: Jan. 6 from 4 to 7pm and Jan. 10 from 12 to 3pm.
Discussions are currently underway to offer March Break and Summer day camps, as well as other projects.
