Downtown revilatization symposium set

The BIA is organizing a symposium to collect ideas from people in the community and to create a strategy for the future.

Organizers want to determine how to re-establish Fergus as the hub of Centre Wellington, and are seeking suggestions. They are looking to merchants and residents to provide a wish list as a starting point to attract new business.

Anyone with ideas  should plan to attend. Special guests for the evening include Manager of Economic Development for Centre Wellington Dave Rushton, General Manager of Wellington-Waterloo Community Futures Rick Whitaker, and Gary Peter, from the Guelph Wellington Business Enterprise Centre.

The symposium will be held on Jan. 21 at 7pm at the Community Living building on St. Patrick Street West (at the corner of Tower Street).

Those planning to attend should inform the BIA at  fergusbia@wightman.ca.
