DOWNS, Jean K. nee: Bayne (Creary); Passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace, Fergus on October 26th, 2014 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Earl Creary (1955) and husband Robert Downs (1989).Will be missed by her children Marilyn (Doug – deceased) McCollough, Shirley McEvoy, Len (Robin) Creary, Donald (Cathy) Creary, John (Pat) Downs and Mary (Steve) Hill. Jean will be remembered by her brother Norman Bayne and sister-in-law Celia Creary, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and other family and friends. Predeceased by her daughter Earlene and her sons Robert and William, granddaughters Dana and Katrina Downs, as well as a brother Gerald. Jean was a lifetime member of the Elora Optimist Club. Visitation took place on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church St., Elora from 7:00-9:00pm and on Wednesday October 29th, 2014 from 12:00-1:00 pm, the funeral service followed in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm.
