Downey, Rosella (Jordan);  Passed away peacefully at The Elliott in Guelph, on May 19, 2008 in her 102nd year. Predeceased by her husband James Downey (1981) and her son Carl Anthony (2001). Lovingly remembered by her children Marguerite Umbach, Maurice (Rose), Jean Kraemer, Helen Moore (Bert) and Frances Mantler (Joe) and also her daughter-in-law Eileen Downey. Fondly remembered by her 38 grandchildren, 100+ great grandchildren and her 30+ great great grandchildren. Also predeceased by her grandsons Philip Downey, Michael Dobben, Tom Moore and Kurtis Kraemer and her sons-in-law Ronald Umbach and Kevin Kraemer. Rosella was the last surviving member of her original family. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff at The Elliott Nursing Home for their exceptional care of mom over the years. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. east in Elora, on Thursday, May 22 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church,  267 Geddes St in Elora, on Friday, May 23 at 11:00am.
