Downey, Linda Margaret (Nee: Skerritt); Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on September 15th, 2011. Linda was married 35 wonderful years to James (Jim) Edward Downey. Loving daughter of Margaret and Gordon (deceased) Skerritt and daughter-in-law of Eileen and Carl (deceased) Downey. Proud and loving mother of Craig (Melissa) Downey, Scott (Mandy) Downey and Lisa (Johan) Downey Johannesson. Fondly remembered by her brother Mervin (Marlene) Skerritt and sisters-in-law Donna (Bryan), Theresa (Earl) and Barbara also by brother–in-law Mike (Dianne). Linda will also be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. East in Elora, on Tuesday, September 20th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary the Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 267 Geddes St. in Elora, on Wednesday, September 21st at 11am.
