Donovan, Rita Jo-Anne; The family of Rita Donovan sadly announces her passing at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Tuesday October 7, 2008, at age 63. Rita Jo-Anne Sammit, loving wife of Gerald Donovan of Rockwood. Dear mother of Sean and Robyn of Guelph, Dana and Christie of Fergus, and Ryan and Dawn of Rockwood. “Gran” to her cherished grandchildren, Calee, Jordan and Brianne. Daughter of Rita and the late Emanuel Sammit of Hornby and sister of Louise Cook of Milton, Loretta and the late James Sammit of Rockwood. Friends were received at the Blue Springs Funeral Home, Acton, Friday, October 10, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with parish prayers at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Acton, Saturday, October 11, 2008, 11 a.m. Cremation followed. Remembrances may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
