DIX, Hilda Dorothy Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Hilda Dorothy Dix (nee Avery) in her 89th year. Hilda was a longtime resident of Fergus and was predeceased in 2016 by her husband of 64 years William Dix. Much loved Mom to Martin Dix (Heather), Steve Dix (Connie), Joan Noble, Peggy Dix and Nancy Leek. Granny to Meghan (Warren), Jessica (Gavin), Cait (Jeff), Nathan, Jed (Alison), Jenni (Jon), Grace (Mike), Haydn and Catherine (Terry). Predeceased by grandson Luke. Great Granny to eleven and beloved Aunt Hilda to many nieces and nephews. Mom was the town seamstress, an accomplished writer and a voracious researcher of family ancestry. Family and friends visited at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00pm. A Memorial Service was held in the chapel of the funeral home at 3:00pm. Donations in Hilda’s memory may be made to Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
