On May 7, the Rockmosa community centre will again be rocking with the sounds of the Good Brothers.

Last week, Guelph-Eramosa council waived the fee for the hall for the fourth annual Good Brothers dinner and dance, with proceeds this year helping to cover various “community obligations” of the Rockwood and District Lions and Lioness clubs.

Colleen Ens, speaking on behalf of her mother, organizer Doris Ens, said in a report to council that 83 local businesses contributed to last year’s event and many have already expressed their support for the 2011 edition. Mayor Chris White said council is “thrilled” to have the event in the community and the rest of council agreed. For more information or tickets to the dinner and dance ($30 each or $55 per couple with cheaper prices for seniors and kids), call 519-856-9419 or 519-856-9650.
