DIJKSTERHUIS, (Dyksterhuis), Jakob: 1927 – 2018. Passed away on Thursday January 4th, 2018 of Groningen, The Netherlands in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Els for 70 years, dear father of Douwe (Trieneke) and Hennie (Hans), adored Grandfather and Great-Grandfather all of The Netherlands. Cherished eldest brother to Evert and Annie Dyksterhuis (Dijksterhuis) of Palmerston, Henry and the late Eileen (Oct/2017) Dyksterhuis (Dijksterhuis) of Clifford, Peter and Irene Dyksterhuis (Dijksterhuis) of Guelph, Christine and Peter Oosterveld of Drayton. Predeceased by his parents Douwke and Trijntje (Vos) Dijksterhuis, sister Stientje, paternal grandparents Jakob and Jacobje (Reus) Dijksterhuis, maternal grandparents Evert and Stientje (Swierenga) Vos. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The memories of our visits throughout the years though countries apart; your warm and embracing hugs, that amazing windmill as well your sweetest strawberries in Holland will forever remain in our hearts.
