Deaken, Wm. George Lionel; passed peacefully on July 8th, at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Shelburne in his 73rd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Shirley Deaken. Loving father of Pat and Dave, John and Kris, Ron and Lisa and Steve. Cherished grandfather of Jamie and Mel, Jeremy and Jayna, Sheila and Michelle, Darryl and Steph, Dayne and Jess and Wade. Great-grandfather to Kreal. Sadly missed by sister Elda Eustace. Predeceased by brother Arnold.The family received friends at Simes Funeral Home, Grand Valley on Wednesday, July 9th , from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service was held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m.. In Lionel’s memory, donations may be made to the Monticello United Church or the Sick Kids Foundation.
