De VAAN, Martha (nee Teunissen) - Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on May 5, 2018 at the age of 97. Born in Eindhoven, Netherlands on April 2, 1921. Predeceased by her husband William (Bill) DeVaan (2009). The de Vaan family immigrated to Canada in 1956. They moved from Port-Credit to retire at the farm in Kemble to a retirement condo in Georgetown and Martha resided her final years in Guelph. Missed by her children Willie and Rick Carder-de Vaan of Desboro, Johanna and Harold Postma-de Vaan of Guelph, Arnold and Susan de Vaan of Acton; grandchildren Christopher Avery (Dawn), Michael Avery, Leanna de Vaan and Kara Chapman-de Vaan (Cooper) and Suzanne Postma. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place on a future date at a private family gathering at Woodlawn Memorial Park Guelph. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL.
