DAVIDSON, James  “Jim”; Passed away on August 26th, 2015 at Groves Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee: Lawrence) (2011). Lovingly remembered by his children James ”Art” Davidson, Paul Davidson, June Woods, May (Darren) Spears. Predeceased by his son Philip Davidson. Special grampa to Alexander and Rachel Woods and Colin and Olivia Spears. Predeceased by his father James “Ed” and Margaret “May” (nee: Ibbotson) Davidson, as well as his sisters Bessie Campbell and Gert Cormie and brother-in-law Bill Lorenz. Jim was born and raised in Fergus and was proud to be a 4th generation Fergus family. He was a former member of the 11th Field Regiment in Guelph. Jim worked as a carpenter and tradesperson and was a retired employee of GSW. Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th, 2015  from 7:00-9:00pm at The Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St South, Fergus. A funeral service for Jim took place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 29th, 2015 at 11:00 am, with a reception following at the Funeral Home.
