Dance scholarship
Fergus highland dancer Maggie Cumming was recently nominated to attend the 14th annual North American Sadie Simpson Highland Scholarships held in San Diego, California on Oct. 2. She was one of 50 junior section highland dancers nominated across North America. Cumming was nominated after receiving “honours” in her 2015 grade three theory British Association of Teachers of Dancing examination. Cumming dances at the Mary Ellen Cann School of Highland Dancing in Guelph. She placed sixth in the technical dance section of the scholarships. submitted photo
