Dam danger
Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) environmental education specialist Alex Paroski explains how the seemingly calm water upstream of a dam can be dangerous. Children are warned to never go near a river alone, to obey warning signs and stay away from dams and other water structures, and to swim with a buddy or group only at marked beaches with parental approval.
