CW Fusion Pee Wee "˜AA"™ in OMHA semis

The Centre Wellington Fusion Pee Wee ‘AA’ team is tied 1-1 in its Ontario Minor Hockey League (OMHA) semifinal series with Oakville as of March 1.

The boys won the first game in Oakville 2-1 in overtime. Then the series came back to Elora where the Fusion lost 3-1. The series continues.

Points in the games (goals, assists) were scored by: Zac Tofflemire (1, 1); Jakson Kirk (1, 1); Caleb Cribbin (two assists); and Caleb Willmets (one goal).

The team advanced to the semifinals by defeating Lasalle three games in a row.

The boys started the series with a double header after an eight hour drive to Windsor cancelled their first game. Both teams were hungry but the Fusion came out on top in the first game by a 3-1 score.

In the second game the boys found themselves down 3-0 late in the second period. The boys were determined and fought hard to come back with a 4-3 win.

The series then came to their home ice of Elora. The boys controlled the play and came away with a 6-2 victory.

Points (goals, assists) in the series were scored by: Jakson Kirk (6, 2); Zac Hatch (six assists); Max Hattle (four goals); Caleb Cribbin (1, 2); Darren Eby (three assists); Zac Tofflemire (three assists); Caleb Willmets (1, 1); Trent Collins (two assists); Jake Ristov (two assists); Troy Hall (one goal); Ben Witmer (one assist); and Jack McDonald (one assist).
