CW firefighter agreement updates policies/contract
Centre Wellington has updated is policies and contract with local firefighters.
Following an in-camera session on July 23, Mayor Kelly Linton brought forward a bylaw authorizing the township to adopt the policies governing the relationship between the municipalities and the Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue Services firefighters.
CAO Andy Goldie explained the only rewording is in regards to legislation changes, position titles, and standardizing of language.
The new contract provides for hourly annual increases in remuneration of: 1.7% effective April 1, 2018, 1.8% effective April 1, 2019 and 1.9% effective April 1, 2020.
