ERIN – Credit Valley Conservation is launching a series of free workshops for landowners in the watershed and including properties in Erin.

The workshops provide knowledge and tools to landowners to improve their properties through environmental stewardship. They cover topics like planting a native plant garden in their backyard, managing a woodlot, upgrading a drinking water well, planting cover crops on the farm or planning a parking lot retrofit at their office building. CVC can help see projects through from start to finish and can also help find funding for some projects.

Workshops include:

- March 28, 10am to 3pm: Attracting birds to your yard. At Erin Mills United Church in Mississauga;

- April 4, 9:30am to 3:30pm: Easy to grow native plants from seed. At Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga;

- April 9, noon to 12:30pm: Landscaping 101 for business leaders. Online webinar;

- April 27, 7 to 8:30pm: Naturescaping in your green yard. South Fletchers Community Centre, Craft Room, Brampton.

To pre-register, call 905-670-1615 ext. 297 or visit cvc.ca/LandownerWorkshops for a complete list of workshops and click on the one (or more) of interest.
