CUSHING, Paul Joseph of Guelph, formally of Nichol Township. Passed away peacefully in Guelph, Ontario on August 17, 2016 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Helen (Scott) Cushing. Loved father of Nancy Cushing (Pasadena, CA), Mary (late Randy) Fleming (Elora, ON), Theresa Cushing (Kelowna, BC), Larry (Terry) Cushing (Mississauga, ON), Frank (Patty) Cushing (Victoria, BC), and Brian (Hannah) Cushing (Richmond Hill, ON). Loving “Pops” – “Poppa” to 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grand-Children. Also survived by his brother Neil. Arrangements are entrusted to The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, Elora and there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 267 Geddes St. Elora Ontario August 24, 2016 at 11:00 am. Reception followed at the Royal Canadian Legion, 110 Metcalf St. Elora. Private family internment St. Mary-Joseph Cemetery Elora. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the foundations of The Guelph General Hospital, The Palliative Care Centre at St. Joseph Health Centre Guelph, or St. Mary’s Church Restoration Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
