CURRY, James Charles Edward; “Jim” of Drayton went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the age 63. Beloved husband of Annette (Poot) Curry for 41 years. Cherished father of Karina and Josh Cranston of Fergus, Trish and Jay Lutter of New Berlin, Wisconsin, and Matt and Jess Curry of St. George. Dearest grandfather of Jadon, Robyn, Ezra, Mercy, Eden, Cohen and Quinn. Brother of Art Curry (Sandy) of Brampton, Linda Cleveland (Randy) of Kingston and Mary Ann Curry (Wayne) of Kingston. Son-in-law of Cor Poot of Palmerston and the late Diny Poot. Fondly remembered by the Poot family, as well as his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents George and Bernice Curry and his brother Gordon Curry. Jim served on the Drayton and Mapleton Council for 21 years, and was an active member with the Drayton Reformed Church, the Drayton Rotary Club and on numerous committees within Drayton and Mapleton. To honour Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Drayton Reformed Church 72 Wellington Street, South, Drayton on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Pastor Duane Vanderlaan will conduct the Celebration of Life in the Drayton Reformed Church on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Drayton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the ALS Society or Camp Shalom would be appreciated by the family.
