Culture Days Passport is back in Centre Wellington

Save the date and lace up your sneakers because Culture Days are coming and this year’s celebrations are going to have your feet moving and heart racing. From Sept. 26 to 28 get ready for culture– Centre Wellington style.

Culture Days is a national celebration now in its fifth year. It is a movement created to recognize the contribution of culture to healthy vibrant communities. Centre Wellington is proud to once again be part of the party.

Riding on the success of the past two years, Elora Fergus Tourism is presenting its third annual Culture Passport. Centre Wellington’s definition of culture is all encompassing – everything from the arts to agriculture, from festivals and events to quaint downtowns, from our vast natural and cultural heritage to sport and recreation. The Culture Days Passport captures it all.

“The 2014 Culture Days Passport spans all facets of our cultural community and is shaping up to be the best yet,” reports Elizabeth Bender who is helping to coordinate the weekend. “We have some returning favourites from the past two years as well as some really great new events – this year’s passport is determined to impress.” In 2013, Centre Wellington’s Culture Days weekend celebration made the National Rural Top 10.

Passport events are free and there is something for everyone. PasSports will be available in early September.

It is not too late to get involved. If you have an event or an activity or are itching to collaborate on one; if you want to volunteer; be a sponsor; or donate a prize, please contact Elizabeth Bender through email at ebender@centrewellington.ca or by calling 519-846-9841.
