Cruisin’ for a cause Aug. 27 – to end MS

On Aug. 27, A&W Restaurants invites all Canadians to go Cruisin’ for a Cause – to raise money to end multiple sclerosis.

A&W is the largest summer host for classic car events in Canada.

On Aug. 27, it will be holding a classic car show ’n’ shine event at hundreds of participating restaurants across the country.

On that day, one dollar from every teen burger sold will be going to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada to raise awareness and money for MS research.

MS attacks the central nervous system causing a wide range of symptoms that can include double or blurred vision, extreme fatigue, speech problems, bladder and bowel problems, short-term memory loss and even partial and complete paralysis. Affecting 55,000 to 75,000 Canadians, approximately 1,000 new cases are diagnosed in Canada each year.

So, on August 27, the store invites everyone to go Cruisin’ for a Cause!

Owning a classic car is not a requirement. Get a teen burger, A&W root beer, and support MS research.

MS is the most common neurological disease affecting young adults in Canada. No one knows what causes MS, but researchers are getting closer to the answer every day. For more information on MS, visit www.mssociety.ca.
