The second general meeting of the Concerned Residents Coalition will take place on Wednesday, June 19 in the Theatre at the Acton Town Hall Centre. Everyone is welcome.

The Concerned Residents Coalition (CRC) was formed in response to a proposal by the James Dick Construction Limited (JDCL) to open a gravel pit and quarry called the “Hidden Quarry” on the North side of Highway 7 at the 6th Line, between Acton and Rockwood.

The meeting agenda will include brief reports on the CRC’s activities to date, the progress of the application for re-zoning in Guelph-Eramosa Township and for the permit from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, some insights into the scientific research on the impact of the proposed pit/quarry, and more. “Stop the Hidden Quarry” lawn signs will be available.

The meeting will take place at the The Acton Town Hall Centre, June 19 starting at 7:30pm or check out the CRC website: www.hiddenquarry.ca
