CRANE, Alfred of Guelph, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 8, 2018, in his 96th year. Beloved husband of 72 years to Audrey (nee Trimble). Loved father of Julie (Wayne) Maidens, Mary Ann (Paul) Watson, Robert (Faye) Crane and James (Kelly) Crane. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren with two on the way. Will be fondly remembered by sister-in-law Ruth Girling, extended family and friends. Longtime employee of the United Co-Op, and a member of the Harmony Club and the Waterdown Jamboree. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm.  Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2pm. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
