County museum, arts council host 2024/25 Gallery Concert season

FERGUS – The Wellington County Museum and Archives has announced its Gallery Concerts for the 2024/25 season.

There will be five concerts, with the first on Nov. 10 at 2pm at the museum, featuring Judith Douglas on piano playing Baroque and Beyond.  The concerts are supported by the Wellington County Museum and Archives, along with the Elora Fergus Arts Council and Hugh Drewbrook.

The concerts began in the late 1980s as Drewbrook’s wife Lorraine was a singer and they wanted a venue. So along with some musical friends, they started the Sunday afternoon concerts with a gathering for coffee post-performance.

Dr. Hugh Ross worked with the Elora Fergus Arts Council to provide the piano used today and the museum stores it for use.
