KENILWORTH – Ontario- and Canadian-made products will be highlighted during a “Proudly Canadian Kenilworth” event at Country Pantry on May 4.
The event, from 10am to 2pm, “aims to showcase the incredible diversity and quality of products created right here in Ontario and across Canada,” states Country Pantry general manager David Yeh.
“It will bring together local artisans, businesses and community members to celebrate the creativity and talent that make our country so unique,” Yeh stated in an email to the Advertiser.
Complimentary tea, coffee and food will be offered during the event, and loot bags will be given to the first 50 families.
The event will also be a fundraiser for John Ray, a Mount Forest teen in Grade 10 at Wellington Heights Secondary School.
Ray published his own cookbook, Big John’s Farm Fresh Recipes: Quick, Healthy Easy, and is using its proceeds to save up for a new vehicle for his family.
It’s an accessible van that they need to accommodate Ray’s wheelchair.
Country Pantry is located at 9121 Highway 6 in Kenilworth.
