Councillors intrigued by latest offering at county museum

ABERFOYLE – A new exhibit at the Wellington County Museum has intrigued members of Puslinch Council.

On Jan. 22, councillors received correspondence from Christina Tessier, president and CEO of Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation

Tessier informed councillors the upcoming travelling exhibitions Ace Academy: Flight Experience and Cipher – Decipher will be on display at the Wellington County Museum and Archives until May 10.

She stated Ace Academy: Flight Experience is an immersive encounter during which visitors become players by facing a screen and standing on a rondel to activate their intuitive flight experience.

Tessier added Cipher – Decipher is intended to help Canadians understand communications cryptology – what it is, how it works, and how it affects our lives.

Councillor Jessica Goyda asked if the information should be forwarded to the township recreation committee – or whether it could be included in the township’s community newsletter to bring awareness of it.

Councillor John Sepulis said the exhibit, which is by donation only, “seems like [it] would be very interesting.”
